Starlings and Sore Paw

Hi fans. What a two days. First on Friday a host of starlings settled on my roof and my neighbours. What a din. I barked and told them that in future they had to ask my permission. They agreed and flew off. Some of the starlings on my neighbour's roof were chirping in Gaelic. Of course my neighbour comes from Stornoway.
Well today I hurt my paw. I am a poor wee doggie. A and S are looking after me and give me lots of bits of foodie. Well, I do deserve it. It will be all right tomorrow.

Traffic

Hi fans. Do you like big trucks and fast cars? You Do? Shame on you. I'm terrified of them. They keep wizzing past me, upsetting my equilibrium. I tell you if I was a police dog I'd do something. I just bark and say,
"You're MAD. " They take no notice. If I was a police dog they'd have to notice.

Coat Time

Hi fans. Yes It's Autumn again. Times for coats. I have a burberry checked coat, a red tartan coat, a furry little coat and a padded orange fluorescent coat. How many coats do you have? Of course everyone thinks I am so clever and cute wearing my coats. "Look at that wee doggie," the children cry. Of course their mums are happy to see me wearing a coat. They say, "Yes that wee doggie is a clever doggie wearing her coat. You have to wear a coat when it's cold. You see I even help parents with their children. Lucy Pye the teacher, that's me.

Admirers

Hi fans. Do you have admirers? I have them by the dozen. Yesterday was a prime example. This big fellow, all hair and nose, kept telling me I was so beautiful. Well S had to pick me up. He even stretched up and kept telling me how beautiful I was and how he wanted to meet me every day. I tell you I was having none of it. I snapped at his nose. It still didn't stop him. S moved away and he tried to follow.
Fortunately, today I did not meet him. We went for a walk this afternoon, due to the rain. I don't like pushy males. Do you?

Good girl

Hi fans. Missed me? Well I have been a great girl. I went a huge long walk yesterday and only met one doggy fan, a yellow Labrador. S and A wen to Kirkcaldy without me. I had to do my job and guard the house. Everyone in my street knows how well I can bark. Have to go and get my foodie. Yum, Yum.

Bella, Bella

Hi fans. Enjoyed my walks in the sunshine. Met my friend Bella the cairn again. S thinks I'm slim when she sees Bella. Bella means beautiful and that's me of course. Still I like meeting Bella and always wag my tail politely.
Being younger than me Bella hasn't got such good manners.

Billy Boy

Hi everyone. Been good? So have I. Met Bella the cairn out for a walk. She wanted to play but S was cold so we had to keep moving. Billy Boy came to visit. He needed a haircut. S thought he looked good, but hey not as beautiful as me. Do you know S said Billy Boy could have his own blog? I ask you. Still he is younger than me and you have to encourage the young. He thinks I'm beautiful so he has good taste. When Billy Boy visits I get super food. He ate all his though and that was quite sad. Still he behaved well which is something. Almost bedtime.

VISITORS

Hi fans. Well I'm getting visitors tomorrow. It's OK, because Billy the Yorkie knows his place. I'm boss and he knows it. I even sit on his humans knee and look down on him. This is just to remind him. If he's slow to eat his food, I have to help him finish it. After all I have to show I'm hospitable too. Have to go and make myself beautiful (well more beautiful).

BORED

Hi fans. Have you ever been bored? Well due to the rain I have not had my usual walks. The only thing that makes my life more worthwhile, are my friends. S plays with me. I love my friend Bally, Busy Bee, Blue Ted, Tiny Ted and all my others. They don't even mind, when I sink my teeth in them and shake them about. They're true friends. S flings them and I fetch them. S thinks it keeps my weight down, when I run about. Me, I don't care about weight problems. I just care about having fun and being me. I like being me. I hope you like being you. If not, you have to do something about it. Get help.

The Weather

Hi fans. Well it's raining. S won't take me out in the rain in case I catch cold. I'm only a wee dog. Maybe I'll go walkies later. S took me lots of walkies yesterday. She watches Heather the Weather every night. My favourite TV programmes are the foodie ones. After all, food is one of my greatest hobbies.

PATIENCE

Hi fans. Having a good day? Well I am guarding the back door. I do have my wee jobs. My favourite is cleaning the floor when food drops on it. What's your favourite job? I do loath getting my face washed and hair combed. It's such a waste of time. I look beautiful all the time. ( S has to get new batteries for her camera before you see my picture.) You must think beautiful thoughts. That way it shows on your face.
The suns's out now so I'm away for my walk.
Take Care

DRAGONS

Hi fans. I saw two dragons when I was out walking. Help. S told me they were huge grass cutting machines, but I don't believe her. One started to chase me. I'm sure of it. I just headed for home, like any good self respecting Yorkie. Love a duck. What's the world coming to? We shall resume our walk later. S had a letter published in a magazine, which mentioned me. I'm so famous. However, I have not mastered getting my photograph on my blog. One day soon, maybe tomorrow.

MY WAY

Hi fans everywhere. I like my own way. Do you? Well I have to tell you sometimes it's not good to insist on your own way. Why? Because you get second best. Sometimes I change my mind about the direction I am going and my walkies become shorter. I just cannot make up my mind. S tries to coax me, but I am too stubborn to listen. Boo Hoo, silly me. One day I might just listen to advice.
Have a good day.

LET ME TELL YOU A STORY

Hi fans. I heard some many frightening noises today. I did not like my morning walk.
I feel a story coming on. I want to tell you about myself. You can get the tissues ready.
Yes, although bonny, bright and cute, I was a rescued dog. Hic. I was bought (pedigree and kennel club registered) to be a companion for an older Yorkie. Alas the other Yorkie was jealous. I was sent to a home with two other dogs, who instantly disliked me. It is understandable in a way. I am so gorgeous. However, I was passed to another home, where a neighbour was jealous about my fine voice. I despaired.
Never give up HOPE. The very day I was referred to the 'Home A Dog Association', my two humans S and A applied to rescue a dog. When they saw me they fell in love. I went home with them that day.
I now have a wonderful home. My two humans are very biddable. They changed my name from Lulu to Lucy Pye (A is a mathematician).
However, a little of my legacy remains. Sometimes I am nervous. It just goes to show not every dog is absolutely perfect. ( Please do not tell my humans.)
Must go another walk.
Bye the noo.

WALKIES

Hi fans. I'd an exciting walk today. I saw a cat carrying a mouse. She saw me and ran. I went towards the spot and found some really, really exciting smells. Made my tail wag. You poor mortals just don't realise what your missing.
But, we were nearly run down due to some cars parked awkwardly and fast traffic. Fortunately I was with S and she acted sensibly. I know I can really trust her, but my trust does wobble a bit at times.
Got to go as it's almost tea time. One of my favourite times of the day. Do you have favourite times?

FRIENDS

Hi friends on the blog. I am a gorgeous, fun loving, cute, cuddly, intelligent, wonderful Yorkie. I have many fans and friends. I enjoy myself, especially when I am eating. I own two human S and A. They are kind to me, but sometimes I have to remind them who's boss. I adore my walks, as there are so many wonderful smells in the world. Alas human beings are not so privileged to be as gifted at smelling, as my canine friends and I. Only having two legs must be a draw back too. I do realise these limitations and try to accommodate them. I am enjoying the lovely weather up here in Scotland. It is a wonderful place to live. If you have not visited please come.
Will make contact tomorrow.
Bye the noo.
